Kinesio Taping – Used to Support Athletes Worldwide
Updated: Aug 27, 2018
Hi, I’m Dr. JR Kille. Today I’m discussing Kinesio Taping and its benefits to the athlete. I love to work with athletes. I’m not sure if it’s because of my fond memories of working out on the high school teams, or PT from my years in the U.S. Navy, but I like to help people that work so hard to help themselves.
We all need some help now and then and Kinesio Taping is just the ticket to help many people heal and even prevent injuries. It’s used nearly everywhere in professional, college and high school sports.
Here is a clip from the Kinesiotaping.com website.
Kinesio® Tex Tape is used for anything from headaches to foot problems and everything in between. Examples include: muscular facilitation or inhibition in pediatric patients, carpal tunnel syndrome, lower back strain/pain (subluxations, herniated disc), knee conditions, shoulder conditions, hamstring, groin injury, rotator cuff injury, whiplash, tennis elbow, plantar fasciitis, patella tracking, pre and post surgical edema, ankle sprains, athletic preventative injury method, and as a support method.
